Graphic Design & Community Engagement Manager

POSITION/JOB SUMMARY:
- The Graphic Design & Community Engagement Manager is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, increasing brand visibility, and engaging communities both online and offline. This role helps develop the marketing strategy for JMHS and combines public relations, digital media, and community engagement to strengthen the organization’s voice, grow its audience, and support its mission.
- This position is Full-Time / Exempt, typically Monday-Friday
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Community Engagement
- Represent JMHS at public events, community meetings, and networking functions.
- Build partnerships with community organizations, influencers, and stakeholders.
- Assist in managing outreach campaigns and community-focused initiatives.
- Collaborate in organizing JMHS-sponsored community events
- Digital & Social Media
- Develop visually compelling graphics and digital assets for use across social media platforms, websites, and marketing campaigns.
- Capture high-quality photos and video content that tell a compelling story and reflect the brand's values. Manage basic editing and formatting for use in digital campaigns, reels, stories, and promotional material.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of digital campaigns aimed at increasing audience engagement, brand awareness, and community growth. Collaborate with team members to analyze performance and optimize future campaigns.
- Assist in the delivery of campaigns to increase engagement and awareness through digital media.
- Content & Communications
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging is consistent across platforms.
- Support storytelling efforts by gathering visuals.
- Partner with the Marketing & Communications Manager to develop and implement community outreach strategy and communications activities to improve community awareness of the scope and quality of services provided at JMHS.
- Help others succeed.

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
- Supports the Mission, Vision and Values at Johnson Memorial Health Services.
- Is knowledgeable of patient and resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients and residents in a safe, secure environment.
- Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for:
- Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs.
- Confidentiality of all data, including patient, resident, employee, and operations data.
- Quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from any sort of harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior.
- Supports and participates in common teamwork:
- Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction including appropriate judgment.
- Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.
- Follow up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers, patients, or residents regarding reported complaints, problems, and/or concerns.
- Promotes positive public relations with patients, residents, family members and guests.
- Completes requirements for in-service and annual training, acceptable attendance, uniform dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education/Experience
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in community engagement, media relations, or communications.
- Experience with social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and media databases.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adobe Suite proficiency.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
